Student Staff Benefits***

Benefits may change somewhat from year to year.  Below are the benefits for our current student staff.

Please note that returners also receive $100 per semester for use at the university bookstore.  Additionally, while RAs in the halls have a single room, RAs in the apartments have roommates.

If you hope to be an Apartment RA, please share the following change with students you hope to live with in your assigned apartment:

Apartment RAs may select roommates up to the occupancy of the apartment.  All of those roommates must have applied for housing eligibility through the Office of Housing Services (housing.georgetown.edu/) starting October 9, 2007 and ending October 15, 2007.  Members of the class of 2011 do not need to apply for eligibility and may be selected as roommates automatically.

Roommates of RAs in the apartments are required to sign a roommate contract specifying how the RA can and may need to use the apartment when turning in their acceptance letter.

If you hope to be an RA in the Townhouses, please contact Hall Director Heather Cruz in Alumni Square and Townhouses for more information about additional costs that are not covered by Residence Life, including utility bills.

***Note that your benefits package may be impacted by your acceptance of the RA position.  We suggest you speak to Financial Aid about your intention to apply and review the impact the job will have on your package.  Financial Aid does receive the list of appointments and will adjust your aid even if you choose not to contact them.

Benefit Highlights
  • Free single room (unless in the apartments)

  • 75 Block Meal Plan

  • $700 Debit Dollars per semester

  • Hoyanet Phone Line Charge
