Mission Statement

The Office of Residence Life is dedicated to students and committed to the Jesuit ideal of educating the whole person through building a vibrant living community, supporting personal development, and promoting leadership. 

Residence Life assists students in the creation of a vibrant living community in which students are responsible to themselves and to one another. Empowered to respect each other as individuals and to appreciate differences, students build a safe and secure environment for living and learning. 

Residence Life supports intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth by challenging students to seek new experiences and connecting them to university resources in times of need. 

Residence Life promotes leadership by providing a forum for students to create and implement a vision for their community. Students play an active role in governing and shaping their living environments and hold one another accountable for their actions.

In pursuit of this mission, Residence Life is dedicated to a partnership with students, faculty, staff, and students' families.
