"Working as a Resident Assistant has been an
extremely rewarding experience! It has allowed me to
work with amazing people who are passionate about issues
of social justice and diversity. Together, we are
working to achieve change at Georgetown and beyond. I
could not have asked for a better way to end my
Georgetown experience! My staff is amazing, my residents
are great, and Residence Life is very supportive. I also
got to expand my skills for life." Hammad Hammad,
McCarthy Hall
"As a Resident Assistant, I have honed my ability to
design programming for my residents. I am involved in
problem solving for my residents and in constant
communication with them to discover their needs. I love
that ResLife has given me the ability to become a
positive part of my residents' lives. I remember during
our "Henle Haunted Village" Halloween event, residents
came out of their apartments to help us transform Henle.
We had so much fun. I use my RA skills to organize
school work, and I will definitely bring the skills I
have gained as an RA to life beyond Georgetown." Arun

"Being an RA has been a wonderful and dynamic growth
experience for me. I have been able to learn much about
myself, as well as lots of practical skills. Plus, I've
had the opportunity to meet some great individuals along
the way." Shamisa Zvoma, Harbin Hall
"As an international student, I used to have a doubt
whether I can be truly a part of Georgetown and its
student body. Through RA experience, this suspicion was
proven absolutely wrong. My residents not only thanked
me for trying to help and advocate for them, but also
became my friends and allies whenever I need help. This
mutual support, which people here often struggle to find
in other aspects of college life, is what I think most
empowering and inspirational about this job." Jinsun
Bae, Kennedy Hall
